As a progressive grower of Phalaenopsis, we have various certifications. From grower to consumer; we want everyone in the chain to be able to enjoy our Phalaenopsis responsibly. As proof that product security, traceability, being a good employer and sustainable cultivation within Maarel Orchids are properly secured. On the way to PlanetProof
Maarel Orchids is the first Phalaenopsis grower in the Netherlands with the On the way to PlanetProof certification. The quality mark holders are leaders in sustainability in a number of important areas such as climate, soil life, water and energy consumption, so you can be sure of a product that has been produced with an eye for the environment, people and society. PlanetProof helps us to work purposefully on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
GLOBAL G.A.P. / GRASP
We are also affiliated with GLOBAL G.A.P./GRASP. An initiative of European supermarket chains that have drawn up basic guidelines for "Good Agricultural Practices" in the field of traceability, environment, safety, hygiene and very important: employees' health. It is especially for companies that supply to retailers.
Sedex
The English retail has united in SEDEX: The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange. We meet all the requirements set by the English retail for its suppliers and that have been established according to the SMETA method.

A transparent and responsible chain for the international flora; industry is set up in accordance with FSI 2025, the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative 2025. Within this initiative, the standards are set for their applicability in the chain, and we provide input to maintain these standards.
